(West Point, GA.) July 27, 2012 – Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, Inc. (KMMG) has donated $4,000 to the West Point Recreation Department to support softball and baseball teams competing in tournaments across the state this summer.

At a recent ceremony, West Point Recreation Director Mike Pitts was presented with the donation. Also attending the ceremony were George Green, assistant director, and the 11&12-year-old baseball district champions from West Point who are currently competing in the state tournament in Atlanta.

“KMMG recognizes the importance athletics can play in teaching the value of teamwork,” said Randy Jackson, KMMG’s vice president of human resources and administration. “The Kia Way teaches KMMG team members to work together each day, all pulling in the same direction as one system, one team.
