Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia Promotes Miller to Director of Production

West Point, Ga., June 21, 2012 – Officials at Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, Inc. (KMMG) announced today that Chris Miller has been promoted from senior manager of KMMG’s Production Control Department to director of Production.

 

Since Miller was hired in 2008, he has provided tremendous leadership in production control for KMMG’s start up and expansion projects. During the past four years, KMMG has achieved numerous milestones and has become a leader in the automotive industry. KMMG now has three full shifts of production and more than 3,000 team members that build the Kia Sorento, Kia Optima and Hyundai Santa Fe.

 

Prior to joining Kia, Miller was employed by Mercedes Benz and Mitsubishi Motors. He is a native of Green Valley, Ill.

 

Miller thanked all of the KMMG team members for their dedication to continuous improvement and a one system, one team approach that has made Kia’s only North American automobile manufacturing facility so successful in such a short time period.
