Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia Now Accepting Applications for Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Technology Positions

Online application process opened for Equipment Maintenance and Die Maintenance Team Members
(West Point, GA.) Oct. 10, 2012 – Kia Motors is one of the fastest-growing car companies in the U.S. and today the company’s first North American assembly plant – Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, Inc. (KMMG) – announced the re-opening of its online application process for individuals skilled in operating and maintaining automated manufacturing equipment. These positions perform routine and preventative maintenance and repair procedures on mechanical, electrical and different types of machinery and equipment.
Since its first round of hiring in 2008, KMMG has hired more than 3,000 team members who build two of Kia’s best-selling vehicles in the U.S.: the Sorento CUV and Optima midsize sedan.

KMMG began production of the Kia Sorento on Nov. 16, 2009, followed by the Optima on Sept. 2, 2011. These vehicles have played an important role in Kia’s unprecedented growth and streak of 25 straight monthly sales records in the U.S.

Selected candidates will then be invited for additional pre-employment assessment at the Kia Georgia Training Center, which is operated jointly by Georgia Quick Start and KMMG.
