Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia extends production suspension

(West Point, GA.) April 8, 2020 – In continuation of its response to the unprecedented spread of COVID-19 in the U.S. and supply chain concerns, Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, Inc. (KMMG) is extending its suspension of production until Friday, April 24. Production is scheduled to resume on Monday, April 27. KMMG’s initial suspension of production began on March 30.

During the production stoppage, KMMG has been performing additional cleaning and disinfecting processes in work stations throughout the plant. These activities will continue during this extension.

KMMG is actively monitoring the situation as well as following guidelines set by local, state and federal authorities.
